Serving Persecuted Christians
If you turn on the television and watch any news program, you will undoubtably hear about the violent persecution of Christians going on in Iraq. A recent statistic from CBS News states, “More than 125,000 Christians — men, women and children — have been forced from their homes over the last 10 months.” Christians are being persecuted every second in Iraq and we at Light of Life are committed to doing all that we can to help them.
Several people are in need of basic necessities, such as clothing. We are grateful to God to be able to provide these things and share Christ along the way.
Food is another basic necessity that we have been able to provide for persecuted Christians. Light of Life International puts together care packages to feed families for a month.
Many Christians fearing for their safety are thankful for the safe places to worship that we have been able to provide. A recent project that Light of Life International supporters were faithful in giving towards was the purchase of a church van for those who want to come to church, but live too far away.
We have had the opportunity to travel into small villages and do Bible studies for those who are too far away from a church as well.
